The Dallas Mavericks will travel to the Paycom Center in Oklahoma to face the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday at the Paycom Center. The Mavericks head into the game riding a seven-game winning streak, including a recent 125-118 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Thunder are also in solid form, having won their last three games.
Both teams have released their injury reports ahead of the matchup. For the Mavericks, Luka Doncic is expected to suit up, as his name is absent from the injury report. Doncic had missed five games earlier this season due to a wrist contusion but is likely to play a key role against the Thunder.
The Mavericks will, however, be without Dante Exum (wrist), Jaden Hardy (ankle), and Maximilian Kleber (illness). Naji Marshall and P.J. Washington are listed as questionable due to illness.
On the Thunder’s side, Jaylin Williams (hamstring), Ousmane Dieng (finger), and Chet Holmgren (hip) are confirmed to be sidelined. Additionally, Nikola Topic is out for the season with an ACL injury.
NBA Analyst Shares Luka Doncic’s Potential In The MVP Race
Luka Doncic won the Western Conference MVP last season and also led the Mavs to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves to be the West’s champ. During a recent episode of the Hoop Collective podcast, ESPN analyst Tim MacMahon highlighted Doncic’s return to dominant form.
“All the Mavericks needed was the version of Luka that’s typical for him. They needed that first-team All-NBA guy, who they hadn’t had for the first quarter of the season or so. That’s what they’ve had the last four games. If they have first-team All-NBA Luka, if they have NBA candidate, Luka, the Mavericks absolutely feel they can win the West again,” MacMahon said.

Since coming back from his wrist injury, Doncic has been playing more phenomenally. The Mavs star is averaging 28.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game this season.
