The Los Angeles Lakers are off to an impressive 2-0 start this season, securing victories over the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Phoenix Suns. This season marks a significant milestone for the franchise, as it is the first time that LeBron James and his son Bronny James have shared the court in a regular-season game.
In their first game, Bronny had the chance to play alongside his father. Nevertheless, he struggled to make an impact, finishing with no points in just three minutes of play.
In the second game against the Suns, however, Bronny did not see any time on the court, while LeBron played an impressive 38 minutes. This disparity has led to speculation about Bronny’s role on the team and how Redick plans to manage the minutes of both players as the season progresses.
As they prepare for their upcoming game against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday, there is ongoing discussion about LeBron and Anthony Davis’ potential rest strategy. Redick addressed the topic, sharing the importance of assessing how both players feel as game day approaches.
“It’s all in real time. How do they feel when they get up on Saturday morning?” Redick said.
For Bronny, the situation appears to be more dependent on Redick’s coaching decisions. While he made his debut in the first game, his lack of playing time in the second raises questions about how often he will contribute to the Lakers’ rotation.

Nick Wright Praises LeBron James for Supporting Bronny’s NBA Journey
On a recent episode of his show “What’s Wright,” sports analyst Nick Wright expressed his admiration for LeBron James and his influence on his son, Bronny James. Wright highlighted the significance of LeBron’s role as a dedicated parent and how it has positively impacted Bronny’s development as a player.
“The face of the league, for 20 years, has been active and as involved parent and husband, as we’ve ever seen in sports. And now his oldest son shared the court with him in an NBA game. If you can’t see that that is an unbelievable story… that was dope as hell,” Wright said.
Like the Lakers, the whole NBA world remains eager to enjoy the on-court chemistry of LeBron and Bronny whenever they take the court. It will remain to be seen if LeBron and Bronny again get playing time together in their third regular season game against the Kings.
