The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to bounce back after a tough 103-115 loss to the Detroit Pistons, bringing their record to 4-3 and placing them 6th in the Western Conference. The LeBron James team’s next challenge comes on Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies, with fans eager to see if the Lakers can turn things around.
Ahead of the matchup, the Lakers released an injury report listing Austin Reaves, D’Angelo Russell, and Anthony Davis. Both Reaves and Russell are expected to play, though Davis’ status remains questionable.
However, there is good news regarding LeBron James, who is healthy and set to take the court against Memphis. Head Coach JJ Redick hasn’t indicated any plans to rest LeBron, and the star himself has expressed his intention to play every game this season.
In their recent game against the Pistons, LeBron posted 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 11 assists. The 39-year-old is averaging 21.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 7.7 assists per game so far this season.
NBA Analyst Blames LeBron’s Slow Start for Lakers’ Struggles
The Los Angeles Lakers’ rocky start this season has drawn criticism from fans and analysts. Recently, NBA analyst Jason Timpf shared his thoughts on the team’s struggles, suggesting that LeBron James has played a role in the Lakers’ inconsistency on the court.
“Two things are true. LeBron hasn’t been good yet this season, and on nights when the Lakers come out flat, he’s usually a big part of the problem. He’s also the last person I’m worried about with this team in the big picture. He’s going to get his legs under him and be LeBron,” Timpf wrote.

LeBron has already made headlines this season by sharing the court with his elder son, Bronny James. Yet, fans seem less focused on this achievement, instead hoping to see a Lakers team that can recapture the dominant form that led them to a championship in 2020.
