Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has reached his 40th birthday this season, yet the two-decade veteran continues to perform at an elite level on the court. Unlike many of the league’s younger players who struggle to maintain their fitness and health, James has proved his durability and dominance, playing 40 games so far this season.
The Lakers are set to face the Charlotte Hornets on Monday at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. James is listed as probable on the Lakers’ injury report due to a foot issue. Nevertheless, it’s expected that he will suit up to lead his team.
The Lakers will be without Christian Wood, who is sidelined with a knee injury, while Anthony Davis, Rui Hachimura, and Gabe Vincent are listed as day-to-day with various ailments. Jalen Hood-Schifino and Jarred Vanderbilt remain out with hamstring and knee injuries, respectively.
The Hornets also face significant injury challenges. Brandon Miller and Grant Williams are out for the season with wrist and ACL injuries. Cody Martin is unavailable due to a core issue, and Tre Mann is sidelined with a back injury.
