The Los Angeles Lakers are off to a remarkable start, securing a 3-0 record for the first time in 13 years. Their latest win against the Sacramento Kings marked another milestone as LeBron James and his team continue to build momentum.
The Lakers’ next game brings a rematch against the Phoenix Suns, whom they previously defeated in their second regular-season game. With this early success, some may wonder whether LeBron will continue to play every game this season, especially since he’s already appeared in each of the Lakers’ games so far.
LeBron has only played all 82 games in a season once throughout his career, and the question of his availability becomes even more significant as he advances. After the Lakers’ win at the Crypto.com Arena on Friday, LeBron addressed this topic, expressing his commitment to being on the court every game.
“I plan on playing every game [this season]. We’ll see what happens if I don’t,” he said.
The new Lakers head coach, JJ Redick, has not indicated any plans to bench LeBron. Redick also may share LeBron’s view on the importance of continuity early in the season.
JJ Redick Praises LeBron’s ‘Insane’ Performance in Lakers Win
LeBron James delivered a remarkable performance in the Lakers’ recent win against the Kings, which saw LeBron showing his frustration with Rui Hachimura. In the fourth quarter alone, LeBron added over 15 points, grabbed over five rebounds, and dished out five assists. JJ Redick couldn’t contain his admiration for LeBron’s display.

“To just get that performance to start the fourth from LeBron, what can you say? We’ve all been very fortunate to watch his greatness for so long, and the fact that he’s able to keep doing it—it’s just, it’s actually insane. It’s actually insane,” Redick said via Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Tikes.
LeBron finished the game with a triple-double, scoring 32 points, 14 rebounds, and ten assists. This stat line is a clear response to critics questioning whether LeBron can still perform at an elite level in his 22nd NBA season.
