The Phoenix Suns are set to play their next regular season game against the Dallas Mavericks. The upcoming matchup is particularly significant, as the Mavericks have won nine of their last ten night games against Kevin Durant’s team.
The Suns updated their injury report ahead of the game. The team’s injury report includes Josh Okogie, Grayson Allen, and Bradley Beal on the list. Durant is expected to play against the Mavericks. Nevertheless, the decision ultimately rests with the team’s management regarding his participation in back-to-back games.
Durant showcased his scoring prowess in the opener, leading the Suns with an impressive 30 points, along with four rebounds and six assists. His offensive output will be vital as the Suns look to compete against a Mavericks team that has a strong track record against them.
Kevin Durant Explains His Place Among NBA Legends
In a recent interview with journalist Mark Medina of Sportskeeda, Kevin Durant opened up about his belief that he deserves a higher ranking among NBA legends. Durant made a compelling case by highlighting his shooting statistics in comparison to other greats.
“If you look at the shot attempts of the guys on that list, when you see me again, let me know what you see when you see the shot attempts. Everybody on that list versus me,” Durant said.
“Man, that’s the story. That’s the story that you should be telling: ‘KD only took that many shots and only played that many games. ‘Man, this mother**** really is efficient.’ A lot of people are efficient. But I’m just saying,” he added.
