The Phoenix Suns are preparing to take on the Toronto Raptors this Wednesday at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The Suns have entered the season with high expectations. But they have struggled to find consistency, sitting at 19-20 and fighting to secure a playoff spot. As they met the struggling Wizards, the Suns are expected to improve their season record, especially as their star Kevin Durant will take the court.
Kevin Durant has been in and out of the lineup this season due to various injuries. He missed several games in November because of a left calf strain and later sat out additional games due to a left ankle sprain.
However, the Suns have some injury concerns heading into Wednesday’s game. Bradley Beal is listed as questionable with an ankle issue. Jusuf Nurkic has been ruled out due to illness. These absences could impact the team’s performance despite Durant’s presence.
The Wizards are also dealing with injuries. Marvin Bagley and Saddiq Bey are both sidelined due to knee problems. Tristan Vukcevic is questionable with an ankle injury. Malcolm Brogdon will miss the game with a foot injury.
Kevin Durant Reflects On Decision To Leave Thunder For Warriors
Kevin Durant recently opened up about one of the most polarizing decisions in NBA history during his appearance on the Out The Mud podcast. The former league MVP reflected on his move from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Golden State Warriors ahead of the 2016-17 season.
“I understood why people was pissed off. But I couldn’t make a decision based off what other people wanted me to do. I wanted a new experience,” Durant said.

Durant’s journey in the NBA began with the Thunder, where he spent nine seasons. During his tenure in Oklahoma City, he averaged 27.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. Despite his individual brilliance and the team’s deep playoff runs, including an NBA Finals appearance in 2012, the Thunder fell short of winning a championship in his era.
