The Phoenix Suns will host the San Antonio Spurs at Footprint Center tonight, with tip-off scheduled for 9:00 PM ET. The Suns are riding high after a 113-105 victory over the Golden State Warriors, which featured dominant performances from Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.
As they prepare to take on the Spurs, the Suns will look to maintain their momentum and build on their improving form. Fortunately for the Suns, Durant’s name isn’t on the injury report for tonight’s game.
Durant has been a cornerstone of the Suns’ success this season. Despite missing seven of the Suns’ 19 games due to injury, Durant is leading the team with 26.8 points and 6.9 assists per game. In the recent matchup against the Warriors, Durant contributed 21 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and three blocks.
While Durant’s health is a boost for Phoenix, the Suns will still be missing key players. Jusuf Nurkic (right thigh contusion) and Collin Gillespie (right ankle fracture) are both ruled out for the game. Bradley Beal, who has been dealing with a left calf issue, is listed as probable, but his status may change closer to tip-off.
Kevin Durant Reflects On Draymond Green After Suns’ Win Over Warriors
Kevin Durant recently reflected on his former Warriors teammate, Draymond Green, after defeating his old team. Durant, who played alongside Green during his successful stint with the Warriors, won back-to-back championships before moving on to the Brooklyn Nets and, eventually, the Suns. Speaking to reporters after the game, Durant praised Green’s unique playing style and leadership.
“When Draymond is at his best, it’s like a good balance between being ultra-aggressive and being on edge and also just being a cerebral monster that he is. I think he’s found that balance even better. I feel like he always had it,” Durant said.
