The Phoenix Suns are set to face the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Despite the presence of superstar Kevin Durant, the Suns have struggled to find their footing this season, holding a 16-19 record and sitting 12th in the Western Conference standings.
Durant will take the court against the Hawks to push the team further. The veteran forward has consistently delivered stellar performances, including a notable effort in the Suns’ recent 115-104 loss to the Charlotte Hornets. Durant tallied 26 points, six rebounds, and two assists while shooting 8-for-18 from the field.
For Thursday, only Royce O’Neale is listed in the Suns injury report. Royce will miss the game due to an ankle injury.
The Hawks, meanwhile, are dealing with many injury concerns. Bogdan Bogdanovic is listed as probable with left lower leg contusion management. Star guard Trae Young is also probable due to right Achilles tendinitis.
Onyeka Okongwu’s status remains questionable with a facial contusion. The team will be without Kobe Bufkin, Jalen Johnson, Larry Nance Jr., and Cody Zeller.
Kevin Durant’s Flow Could Be Impacted By Bradley Beal’s Bench Role
The Phoenix Suns recently made a significant change by removing Bradley Beal from their starting lineup. While the decision was aimed at adjusting the team’s dynamics, on his show, former NBA star Gilbert Arenas has raised concerns about its potential impact on Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

“Yeah, I mean, I just want to see how the spacing looks now when you take him out to see if Booker starts getting double, KD starts getting double, and it might not be what they think. You got to have an offense that’s made for three juggernauts like that,” Arenas said.
The Phoenix Suns are currently leading the race to acquire Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler. Securing Butler in a trade would allow the Suns to form an impressive trio alongside Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, potentially thriving without Bradley Beal in the mix.
