The New York Knicks will host the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York, on Christmas Day. The Knicks, with an 18-10 record, currently sit in the third spot in the Eastern Conference standings. Meanwhile, the Spurs are ninth in the Western Conference with a 15-13 record.
All eyes will be on Karl-Anthony Towns, who is expected to take the court for the Knicks to face big man Victor Wembanyama. Towns, acquired in an offseason trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves for Julius Randle, has made an immediate impact in New York. So far, he has played in all 26 games for the Knicks this season.
In terms of injuries, the Knicks will be without Mitchell Robinson, who is sidelined due to an ankle issue. The Spurs, on the other hand, have no players listed on their injury report, giving them a full-strength squad heading into the game.
Karl-Anthony Towns Fires Back at Josh Hart’s Hilarious Teammate Jab
New York Knicks star Josh Hart recently took to X to deliver a lighthearted jab at his teammates Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson. Hart’s post humorously declared a temporary truce in their off-court bonding.
“We aren’t friends nor teammates today. We are just coworkers. I don’t like yall, yall don’t like me @jalenbrunson1 @KarlTowns,” Hart wrote.
