The Boston Celtics will visit the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario. The Celtics’ leading scorer, Jayson Tatum, is fit to take the court on Tuesday, as his name does not appear on the injury report.
This will mark the third meeting between the two teams this season. With the Celtics emerging victorious in both previous games, Boston is aiming to complete a season sweep.
Tatum has been instrumental in Boston’s success against Toronto this season. In their first game in November, Tatum recorded a near triple-double with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. Nevertheless, the two teams met again in January. Tatum contributed 23 points and eight rebounds in a dominant 54-point blowout win for Boston.
However, the Celtics have some injury concerns for Tuesday’s game. Jordan Walsh is listed as questionable due to illness, while Drew Peterson is dealing with a concussion and is also doubtful. Immanuel Quickley has been ruled out for the Raptors with a hip injury.
Kenyon Martin Defends Jayson Tatum Against “Soft” Comments
Brandon Jennings recently sparked controversy by calling Jayson Tatum softest Celtics player in the history for missing out on the 2024 NBA Finals MVP award. However, former NBA player Kenyon Martin was quick to defend Tatum during a recent episode of Gil’s Arena.
“So you told him if he’s not go out and win Finals MVP. That has nothing to do with his play. He played his a** off. They don’t win it without him. Because people voted for the other guy, that didn’t mean that he didn’t do his job,” Martin said.

Like the previous season, Tatum has been putting forward great numbers this season, averaging 28.1 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game. However, as one of the league’s top performers, it remains to be seen if this season will finally earn him MVP honors.
