Jayson Tatum is once again proving to be the driving force for the Boston Celtics. Following last season’s championship run, the star forward has maintained his elite form, keeping the defending champions in strong contention. With a 38-16 record, the Celtics currently sit second in the Eastern Conference.
Tatum has been a model of consistency this season. Out of Boston’s 54 games, he has played in 51, averaging 26.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game. His impact was on full display in the team’s recent victory over the Miami Heat, where he scored 33 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out two assists while shooting 13-of-26 from the field.
The Celtics will now turn their attention to their next matchup against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. Tatum is off the injury list. He is expected to suit up to lead his team once again as they aim for another victory.

However, Boston may be without key players for the game. Jaylen Brown is listed as questionable due to right knee swelling, while Torrey Craig is also questionable as he continues to recover from a right ankle injury. Jrue Holiday has already been ruled out with a right shoulder impingement.
The Spurs will also be shorthanded. Charles Bassey is out due to a knee injury, and Riley Minix is sidelined with a torn labrum.

“Yeah, it was a big trade and a big change. But I’m not a little kid anymore, so I don’t really watch the Lakers play. I’m a big Celtics fan,” Tatum said.
Tatum grew up as a devoted fan of Kobe Bryant and once expressed a strong desire to be drafted by the Lakers. However, Los Angeles passed on him in the 2017 NBA Draft. Since then, Tatum has embraced his role with the Celtics and has become one of the franchise’s biggest stars.
