The defending champion Boston Celtics have continued their dominance this season. With 20 games under their belt, Jayson Tatum & Co. hold the second spot in the Eastern Conference standings with a 16-4 record. However, after a narrow 115-111 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Celtics are going to face the Miami Heat on Tuesday night.
Ahead of the game, both teams released their injury reports. For Boston, Jrue Holiday (groin), Kristaps Porzingis (knee), Al Horford (toe), and Derrick White (foot) are all listed as questionable. On the Miami side, Josh Richardson (head) and Nikola Jovic (ankle) have been ruled out.
Despite the injury concerns for several key players, Celtics fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Jayson Tatum will take the court against Miami. Tatum has been a cornerstone for Boston this season, playing in all 20 regular-season games.
In the recent loss to the Cavaliers, Tatum, who dreamed of playing for the Lakers, led the team with 33 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Tatum is currently averaging 28.9 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game this season.
Jayson Tatum Praises Payton Pritchard After Celtics’ Win Over Bulls
The Boston Celtics secured an impressive 138-129 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Friday night. While Jayson Tatum delivered another stellar performance, it was Payton Pritchard who caught the eye with his remarkable display off the bench. Pritchard then earned high praise from Tatum during the postgame press conference.
“It’s been really cool to see him grow into the player he is, being effective on a championship team. The things that he’s doing is Sixth Man of the Year worthy for me. I say all the time, me and P, the same high school class. So I’ve been seeing that fearless, competitive nature ever since we were like 13,” Tatum said.
