Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks will come face-to-face with the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night. While the winning spirit is high on the Bucks side, fans are worried about Antetokounmpo hitting the court as he recently got his hand injured that required stitches on his pinky finger.
The two-time MVP has been pivotal for the Bucks this season. He is currently averaging a career-best 31.6 points per game and contributing on all fronts. Antetokounmpo is currently managing a knee injury but is listed as probable to play against the Spurs. This latest knee issue came after he had dealt with right patella tendinopathy earlier in the month.
If Giannis is able to hit the court against the Spurs, it could get the lineup an offensive boost. He’s been on fire this season with an average of 31.6 points per game, and he’s shooting 60.2% from the field. With limited depth behind him, relying on players like Tyler Smith and Chris Livingston, the Bucks will be counting on Giannis to lead the team.

Similarly, the rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama will give Antetokounmpo a tough challenge. The young star has had an impressive season thus far, including a recent game where he tallied 23 points, 14 rebounds, and eight blocks. However, Wembanyama and the Spurs have faced challenges in finishing games, as seen in their recent loss against the Chicago Bulls.

Even though he faced some challenges, Giannis racked up seven turnovers and only had eight shot attempts. Thankfully, the Bucks had plenty of firepower from other players to keep the offense rolling. The win was a much-needed boost for the Bucks, snapping a two-game losing streak and helping them improve to 18-16 on the season.
Damian Lillard led the charge with 25 points, while Bobby Portis added a strong 20 points off the bench. Milwaukee came out firing, hitting 22 three-pointers and showcasing some stellar ball movement with 37 assists as a team. While Giannis’ individual scoring streak may have ended, the collective effort and depth of the Bucks shone through, leaving fans optimistic about what’s next as they prepare for their upcoming matchup against San Antonio.
