The Los Angeles Lakers will take on the Miami Heat for the Wednesday matchup at Crypto.com Arena. While LA is the crowd favorite to win the game, Anthony Davis might not get a piece of the victory. He’s been on the injury report frequently but has missed only two games so far.
As per the recent reports, Davis is listed as probable to play against the Heat. Although he is most likely to start for LA, his final status will be cleared before the game. Over the last four outings, Davis has been lighting it up. He is averaging 24.8 points, 14.3 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks in about 35.5 minutes of play.
However, both teams find themselves fighting for playoff positioning in what has been a competitive season. The Lakers are currently sitting at 7th in the Western Conference with a record of 20 wins and 17 losses. The Heat hold the same spot in the Eastern Conference but with one extra loss at 20-18.
Lakers are listing Dorian Finney-Smith as doubtful for tomorrow vs. Miami.

Just a step ahead at No. 33 is Duncan, whose career average is a smidge better at 10.8 RPG. It will be fascinating to see how AD will surpass the NBA legend in rebounding. Duncan, famously known as “The Big Fundamental,” spent 19 seasons with the San Antonio Spurs. There he became one of the best rebounders the NBA has ever seen.
He had an impressive eight seasons where he averaged over 11 rebounds per game, even peaking at 12.7 RPG during the 2001-02 season. In contrast, Davis has shown his own rebounding brilliance since bursting onto the scene in 2012, never averaging fewer than 9 rebounds a game.
His current campaign is his strongest yet, as he pulls down nearly 12 boards per contest. At this rate, if he keeps it up, Davis could pass Duncan’s career average in about 45-50 games.
