After losing game five against the Denver Nuggets, the Minnesota Timberwolves were on the brink of elimination from the conference semifinals of the playoffs. However, their impressive win in game 6 showcased their true skills and proved the analysts wrong, who had predicted their elimination.
Timberwolves game 6 win against the Nuggets with a score 115-70 forced game 7. During a post-game interview, Minnesota star player Anthony Edwards was asked about his mentality regarding Game 7. In response, Edwards said he is super hyped and pumped up for the game.
“Hell yeah! They know. You all were in there. I told them, ‘I’ll see you all mf* for Game 7. As a competitor, [playing Game 7 on the road] is one of the best feelings in the world.” Edwards said.
Anthony Edwards is confident for game 7
According to Sportradar, Minnesota achieved it’s most considerable winning score difference in a postseason game since 2015, when the Bulls defeated the Bucks by 54 points in the first round of the playoffs. With 27 points to lead the victory, Anthony Edwards appeared primed for his first-ever Game 7 experience.
Despite Minnesota leveling the series, the Nuggets should not be underestimated. They also made a great comeback from 0-2 to 3-2 by winning three straight games against the Timberwolves.
Anthony Edwards will need to be dominant to beat the defending champions and the three-time MVP Nikola Jokic.
