Angry over his fight with Dillon Brooks in March, DeMar DeRozan, a player for the Chicago Bulls, revealed the main reason for it. Holding DeRozan by the hand, Brooks—who has established himself as one of the NBA’s most prominent villains—came at him from behind. The master of the midrange recently declared that he doesn’t like Brooks.
In an interview with “The 25/10 Show,” the Bulls player said that he doesn’t like Dillon Brooks. Brooks has a violent history with players, including his debut for the Rockets. DeRozan also mentioned that he didn’t like the Houston Rockets player attacking him from behind.
DeRozan said (1:20:18), “I’m not going to lie, I just don’t like him. And for two, don’t walk up behind me, that’s rule number one, don’t walk up on no man behind him when his back’s turned.”
Furthermore, the six-time All-Star also said that his lack of respect for the Houston Rockets star was the leading cause of the argument between him and Brooks. DeMar DeRozan mentioned his friendship with Draymond Green as a point of reference. DeRozan stated that he and Green grow close on the basketball court.
But since they are buddies outside the basketball court, he doesn’t mind. On March 23, the Chicago Bulls took on the Houston Rockets. Jalen Green was severely injured after DeMar DeRozan crashed into him during the game. Later, an altercation occurred due to Brooks approaching DeRozan from behind.

According to Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic, the Bulls reportedly offer him a massive contract for their premier player. Mayberry did, however, add that the organization extended a limited deal offer to him while carefully considering their future.
DeMar DeRozan’s free agency may be contentious for the next season. He might not significantly impact a lousy team, but he can substantially boost a strong club’s chances of winning the championship if he signs with them.
DeRozan will turn 35 in August and wants to win a championship before he retires. It would be fascinating to see whether he decides to take a pay cut or give himself a chance at winning the title.
