The Dallas Mavericks have made a triumphant return to the NBA Finals, advancing to the 2024 championship series for the first time in 13 years by eliminating the Minnesota Timberwolves. While Luka Doncic has dazzled fans with his remarkable performances, he recently opened up about one of his regrets from his European roots.
Following the Mavericks’ victory, Doncic faced a question from a reporter about his experiences watching NBA Finals games during his childhood. The 25-year-old player revealed that he seldom had the chance to watch the Finals live because of the time difference between Europe and the United States.
“I didn’t watch cause it was 4 in the morning and I had school the next day,” Doncic said.
Before joining the Mavericks, he was a standout player in the European League. After being drafted by the Mavericks, he has quickly established himself as one of the league’s brightest stars.
In the Mavericks’ Game 5 victory, Doncic posted an impressive stat line with 36 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.
