D’Angelo Russell had a terrible showing of himself in Game 3 of Lakers vs. Nuggets. He shot 0 out of 7, disappointing all Lakers fans watching the game. Despite his poor performance, D’Lo maintained an unbothered attitude throughout the game.
Former NBA player Jay Williams has criticized the Lakers player for his shortcomings and unacceptable behavior. “For D’Angelo Russell to check out of a game like that, not even be involved in a team huddle, it gives me major concern. In two out of three games, he has been a detriment to the Lakers. You have LeBron and AD giving it their all, and then you have their starting point guard not even involved in a team huddle,” said Jay.
He criticized the Lakers star for not showing proactiveness during his team meetings and in the game, while the stars of his team are giving it their all to lead their team to victory. “For him to be checked out of the game that way, I don’t want him on my roster. I do not want him on my team,” added Jay, pointing out that if he were in charge of the Lakers, he wouldn’t want D’Angelo Russell on his team.
