Following the Lakers’ early exit from the playoff series, the question about LeBron James’ future in the franchise has captured every hoop enthusiast’s attention. While many had their takes on the matter, the ever-opinionated Draymond Green stated his views.
Underlining the uncertainty surrounding LeBron’s future, Green said, “Some people think it’s a foregone conclusion that Bron is going back to the Lakers. I don’t know that’s a foregone conclusion. If there was something that came along that was interesting, I think he’d look at it. But ultimately, I don’t quite see him leaving LA.”
The Warriors veteran believes that if an exciting deal comes in LeBron’s way, then the 39-year-old might explore. Though Draymond doesn’t envision LeBron leaving the LA franchise, the man himself had a different reaction.

LeBron’s two-year contract worth $99 million will end in a couple of months, after which he will have a player option for the 2024-2025 season. On rejecting that, he could end up entering free agency.
Although the 39-year-old shared his desire to retire from the LA franchise, he could be waiting for a better opportunity to show his excellence on the hardwood for a few more years in some other jersey. With Bronny James entering the NBA Draft, LBJ’s future will likely be intertwined with that of his son.
