During a recent episode of the Run Your Race podcast, Raymond Felton praised Carmelo Anthony and complimented his scoring skills. Raymond Felton’s statement that Carmelo Anthony is a superior scorer than basketball greats such as LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, and Michael Jordan has split and questioned the basketball community.
Felton, Anthony’s former colleague, provides insight into the minute details of Melo’s scoring skill.
“That dude, just the way he can score, how easy it is for him, I don’t know nobody better, to be honest with you. I’m talking Tracy McGrady, I’m talking about MJ, I’m talking about Kobe, LeBron, all these guys. The way he used to score at every level, I don’t know anybody better, for real. Post-up, has footwork, has midrange is impeccable, shoots the three, is athletic, can dunk on you, get to the basket, had handles like a point guard. I’m just saying – whatever you want, he can give to you, Whatever you want. If you want just midrange all game, I got you. Do you want me to post you? I got you. Do you want me to shoot the three? I got you.” Felton said this during the interview on the Run Your Race podcast.

Felton highlighted Anthony’s playing style on the court, a component of his game that he feels even outclasses Kevin Durant, another very productive NBA scorer.
Although Durant is well-known for his ability to score from outside the area and for creating mismatches with his size and shooting skills, Felton believes that Anthony is unique because of his strength.
