Kemba Walker, during his time at the Charlotte Hornets, spent quite some time with NBA legend Michael Jordan, the team’s ex-majority owner. Naturally, the 6-footer guard has gathered enough memories in the eight years with Jordan to share with the fans. One of them was a gambling moment which he never wishes to repeat.
Recently, Kemba was asked to disclose some of the fascinating stories involving Jordan on the 7 PM in Brooklyn Podcast. Digging deep into his memory lane, the four-time All-Star recalled a gambling story.
“This was my second year. One thing I learned, I ain’t gambling with him [Michael Jordan]!” Kemba admitted. “I ain’t gon lie! He different. I gambled with him when we was in Monaco one time. He too intense! He too intense bro. I’m good… He throwing the money down, I can’t compete with him! And I didn’t even get paid at the time. I’m like, ‘I ain’t got it yet’.”
Kemba is correct in highlighting how intense Jordan is there are people to vouch for it. Also, there is no denying the fact about his huge financial condition. Considering Kemba was in the early stage of his NBA career, he learned his lesson the hard way. Besides the amusing tale, the 34-year-old also shared some motivational speeches Jordan gave.
Kemba Walker Discloses Michael Jordan’s Advice
There is a reason Michael Jordan is considered one of the most influential basketball players. Throughout his NBA career, Jordan has focused on winning and always remained on his toes. He gave the same advice to Kemba Walker.
The veteran revealed in the podcast that there was a time when Kemba entered his comfort zone. Jordan warned him, “Don’t get comfortable,” in his deep voice.

Kemba also shared Jordan telling him in his initial days in the league, “I drafted you myself, I didn’t draft you here to defer. I want you to be aggressive. I want you to play how you played at UConn.” (After 1:03:30)
