The Team USA men’s basketball team eventually found themselves while in Tokyo and went on to win the gold medal after a rough start.
Despite a roster full of NBA talent, they struggled early, and got blasted by critics. That included head coach Gregg Popovich as well.
After the victory, the Team USA head coach had a harsh but neccessary message for his team:
The talk was captured on video and posted to YouTube by JaVale McGee.
“I feel so fortunate having the opportunity to be with all of you guys,” said Pop. “We’ve gone through a lot. All the challenges you guys met. [With] your courage and tenacity, you just worked right through it.”

“That’s why I’m so proud to be a part of this. It’s like the best feeling I’ve ever had in basketball,” he said.
Coach Pop unleashed one final response to all the haters and doubters out there.
“I would just like to say to all those people out there, ‘how the f— you like us now, b—–?’ “
