Other key contributors for the Rockets included Jabari Smith Jr. with 15 points, Jalen Green with 12 points, and Amen Thompson, who added 10 points and five rebounds off the bench.
For the Warriors, Jonathan Kuminga led the way with 20 points and seven rebounds. Stephen Curry contributed 19 points and five assists but struggled in key moments, including the missed three-pointer that ended Golden State’s NBA Cup run.
Buddy Hield added 15 points, but it wasn’t enough to hold off Houston’s late-game surge. Draymond Green, Brandin Podziemski, and Lindy Waters III each added eight points in the loss. The Warriors struggled with consistency, shooting just 44% from the field and only 31.6% from beyond the arc.
