A Houston Rockets fan reportedly let his anger get the best of him when he allegedly punched a New Orleans Pelicans coach at the end of a game between the teams.
Prosecutors charged Manuel Garcia with misdemeanor assault for punching Pelicans assistant coach Joe Boylan in the face after Saturday’s game. Hit girlfriend was also said to have been arrested for allegedly preventing police from getting to Garcia.
Harris County District Attorney’s Office prosecutor Nathan Beedle says he “we will get to the bottom of this and hold them both accountable for their actions.”
This incident comes weeks after an Astros fan allegedly slapped a New York Yankees fan several times during the American League Championship Series.
