I think it’s fair to say that Horace Grant and Michael Jordan will never be close buddies again.
On top of taking shots at Horace as being the snitch ESPN’s “The Last Dance” docuseries, there was a story told by sports writer Sam Smith that claimed Jordan told flight attendants not to let Grant eat on the plane after a bad game.
Grant confirmed the story during an appearance on ESPN Radio 1000, but he also added that if Jordan had ever attempted to physically take his food, he would’ve been dealt with.
“I would’ve beat his a– guys. He could say to the stewardess all he wants ‘oh, yeah, he shouldn’t eat.’
“That’s OK. Go ahead. I’m gonna say what I have to say. But you come back and try to take my food. I would’ve whooped his a–.
“There would be no Air Jordan right now.
“There wouldn’t be no six championships, I guarantee you that.”
Grant won three titles with the Bulls before he moved on to sign with the Orlando Magic who he helped eliminate the Bulls in the 1995 playoffs.
