The Los Angeles Clippers faced a narrow defeat against the Utah Jazz, losing 109-110 on Thursday night. Despite already securing a home-court advantage in the playoffs by winning their division, the team is uncertain about the return of their star player, Kawhi Leonard, who missed the game due to injury.
With only one game left in the regular season against the Houston Rockets, many wonder when Leonard will return to the court. The Clippers have won seven of their last nine games, but Leonard has been absent for most of them. After his two-week absence, fans and analysts are eager to know if he will be back before the NBA playoffs.
In a recent interview, Head Coach Tyronn Lue was asked about Kawhi Leonard’s injury status. Lue responded that he was eagerly waiting for Leonard’s return to the game and confirmed that he would be back soon.
“Will Kawhi Leonard be playing in Game 1?” Brad Turner asked Tyronn Lue.
“That is what we want to see. Hopefully, he will be playing.” Lue responded.

Kawhi Leonard was performing exceptionally well Before his injury
Kawhi Leonard, the Los Angeles Clippers’ leading scorer, has been out of action since March 31 due to severe knee soreness. The Clippers were seeded fourth in the playoffs and had the advantage of playing at home during the first round.
However, they might have to play the first few games without Leonard. Before his injury, Leonard was performing exceptionally well, averaging 22.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.2 assists while shooting 51% from the field.
Although the team has managed to win seven of their last nine games without him, his absence has had an impact on the team. The Clippers will face a challenging opponent, the Dallas Mavericks, in the first round of the playoffs.
