Thursday night in Brooklyn was a special one for the New Orleans Pelicans as they truly believe they have drafted their next superstar and with the trade of Anthony Davis, they acquired a number of young players to propel the franchise for the next ten years or so.
Zion showed up the draft sporting a 6-figure watch, and with his new contract, he’s on tap to receive so much more than that.
During his first season in the league, Zion will bring in $9.7 million and a total of just over $44 million over four years.
That might not seem like enough for the 1st overall pick, but Zion is likely to make way more in endorsements and on his shoe contract off the court.
