Amid the huge news of the Brooklyn Nets signing Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, many didn’t realize that DeAndre Jordan had signed as well.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Nets will sign Irving to a four-year, $141 million deal and Durant will sign a four-year, $164 million deal.
That price should’ve been substantially more, but the both of them agreed to take a little less in order to get Jordan on the squad. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne, the two stars will now except deals for under the max so Jordan can get a four-year, $40 million deal from the Nets.
Kyrie and Jordan will have to hold down the fort during the 2019-2020 season as the 10-time All-Star ruptured his Achilles tendon in Game 5 of the NBA Finals and might miss all of next season.
