In response, Charania said that the Cleveland Cavaliers could be championship contenders and referred to the Cavs as heavy underdogs.
“Donovan Mitchell, the way he performs in the last two games… From the scoring perspective, clearly, he had led his team. They truly believe internally that Donovan Mitchell does at least that this team can be a championship contender. In last season, the way they lost…They’re going to go up against the Celtics as heavy underdogs.” Shams Charania said.
