With 5.7 seconds left in regulation time, the forward made a clutch 3-pointer to tie the game, making him the game’s hero. Brown was forced overtime with a corner three after Holiday had inbounded the ball to him. The Celts won the game and the series 1-0.
In an interview with the media following the victory, Holiday praised Jaylen Brown: “I saw Jaylen wide open. It’s a great shot. He pretty much did everything.”
Jaylen Brown repeatedly swung the game until he hit the game-winning shot. He also finished the game with seven rebounds, five assists, and 26 points. Jayson Tatum took the lead with a game-high 36 points and 12 rebounds. Holiday had a fantastic game with 28 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists.
