In the early stages of the third quarter, Edwards scored two consecutive three-pointers, and McDaniels followed up with a solid slam to help Minnesota come back from a six-point deficit and take a 68-66 lead. Edwards ended the quarter with 15 points and four threes, the game’s highest score.

Barkley seemed more worried about the Phoenix Suns and their problems. He thinks their recurring issue of not having a point guard will be their downfall in the playoffs. Perhaps he was hoping that the Suns would prolong the series, but now that they’re out, he’s focusing on the Timberwolves’ best chance. The Timberwolves are waiting to find out who they will face in the second round: the Los Angeles Lakers or the Denver Nuggets.
