With just two days to go in the 2024 NBA Draft, the excitement surrounding the event has reached an all-time high. While reports are coming out regarding who will be drafted where, a majority of them surround Bronny James. However, according to his agent, Rich Paul, that doesn’t concern James Jr.
During the latest episode of the Gil Arenas show, Paul joined the former Magic guard for a candid discussion. Among the many things discussed, the topic of Bronny’s draft inevitably came up. Paul revealed that he had asked Bronny about his target before going into the draft and discussing it with interested parties.
According to Paul Bronny, the answer showed nothing but maturity in the 19-year-old. “‘I just want to hear my name called,’ he didn’t say I wanna go No.1,” revealed Paul.
After an impressive showing at the Draft Combine, interest in Bronny picked up. After working out with only the Lakers and the Suns, Bronny is expected to be drafted by the Lakers at no.55, according to league sources.
But which team will be the most beneficial for his development? Host Gilbert Arenas had the answer to that.

The buzz around the hoops alley was that teams might want to draft Bronny to lure LeBron James to the team. However, since that possibility was squashed by Rich Paul, only a few remain interested in the USC guard.

According to Gilbert Arenas, Minnesota will be the place for Bronny. “Wolves, yes. Because he can do what Connely does. In terms of play D, get the ball to Ant-Man, hit an open shot. You don’t have to be traditional point, very athletic guard. So, that can work. Let him get molded,” said Arenas in a recent episode of his podcast.
Rich Paul recently also indicated that the Timberwolves would love to have Bronny. Apart from them, the Klutch Sports CEO also mentioned the Mavs and the Raptors. He clarified that Bronny would not sign a two-way deal with any franchise. So, come Wednesday, it will be of the highest interest to see who comes in for Bronny and matches the expectations of his entourage.
