Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young, who partnered with Adidas in 2018. Since then, he has seen three signature basketball sneakers released under his name.
Recently, Young was officially photographed wearing the Adidas Trae Young 3 during the Hawks Media Day. However, the upcoming season might bring a change in his footwear choices.
During a recent Hawks shootaround, Young was spotted wearing the Air Jordan 39 and ANTA Shockwave Pro 5, sparking speculation about his future sneaker deal. With his current contract with Adidas set to expire, rumors are swirling about whether Young is testing out different brands before making a decision on his next partnership.
Fans are now wondering if Young might follow in the footsteps of Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving, who signed a five-year deal with Chinese sportswear brand ANTA last year. A similar deal for Young could be a significant move in the sneaker world, potentially marking a new chapter in his career both on and off the court.
Trae Young Sets Bold Goal for the Hawks
The Hawks missed the playoffs last season, but Trae Young is ready to change that. At the Hawks’ media day, Young gave Paul George a new celebration idea and made it clear that his focus for the upcoming season is all about winning.
“My goal every year is to win. I don’t play basketball just to play; my goal is to win. Every night I step out there, I feel like we can win. I want to be better than we were last year. We weren’t in the playoffs; we need to be back in the playoffs this year,” Young said.
