With 82 games during the regular season, it can be difficult to catch each one, but when fans do show up, they are eating and drinking a lot. Unlike other sports, NBA games are inside a stadium and air-conditioned at all times, so fans are real comfortable as they spend hundreds of dollars for four quarters.
Fans may be more likely to have another drink or eat when their favorite team is struggling, but according to a new graph, some of the best teams in the league have fans who like to spend a lot to watch their teams dominate on the floor.
The below graphs show which NBA fan bases eat and drink the most, which is based on average money spent on in-arena drinks and food.
The first photo is on eating and it shows the Los Angeles Clippers fan base spent $146.35 on average. The Warriors came in second with fans spending $130.15 on average.
Coming in third is the Celtics spending $114 while the Nuggets and Knicks fan base came in fourth and fifth.
Rounding out the top 10 was the Lakers, Bucks, Pistons, Mavericks, and Bulls. As you can see, seven of the 10 were playoff teams and the Bulls were a play-in team.
