Grant Williams was criticized for being a “bad locker room guy“
In recent events, Mike Gorman had some things to say about Grant Williams on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher & Hardy, where Gorman said some things about Williams not being a positive influence in the locker room. He further said that the players have a reputation for causing discomfort in the locker room.
Such players get easily removed from the roster, especially when they come off the bench. Gorman said, “He was annoying to everybody. I think, initially, everybody thought he was kind of a wise-ass, but he’s kind of cute, and he’s kind of funny, Then it just kind of wore thin. It got thin in Dallas, obviously. …He had some issues in that area that if he doesn’t get rid of, he doesn’t have enough for teams to say, ‘Well OK, but despite that, we’re going to keep him here because he’s a great player.“
Gorman’s words got spread all over social media, giving fans an opportunity to take it to the next level and start a thread.

Williams receives Tatum’s support
After seeing all the tweets and reactions to them, Tatum couldn’t help but come to his buddy’s aid. Both Grant and Tatum have made each other stronger. The five-time NBA All-Star uploaded a post saying that Williams is a great teammate, shutting down the critics on the spot.
“Grant Williams = great teammate!” said Jayson Tatum. It’s good to see both share a good bond, even when they are not teammates anymore, which shows their commitment to their team when they used to play together.
Both Tatum and Williams have a competitive nature, and it’s ironic that both of them have fired shots at each other in the past. After Williams was traded to the Dallas Mavericks, he and Tatum got into a friendly fire where William said, “I’m gonna bust your ass when we play Dallas,” which represents how close they are as friends.
