Week 10 of NBA basketball has gone by and the biggest story of them all is that the Pistons finally won a game after nearly a couple of months of losing. OKC is continuing their rise to the top of the West and the Bucks are knocking at the doorstep of the Celtics.
Today, we will be grading all 30 NBA teams in week 10 of games. This will be an exciting list so let’s get into it.
Atlanta Hawks: C- (Last Week C)
The Hawks are sliding further down the standings this past week. Trae Young has played great, but they can’t create any momentum from their play. Several teams around the league are already inquiring about Dejounte Murray’s availability in trade talks.
Boston Celtics: A+ (Last Week A+)
Boston continued their stellar play this past week even though some starters alternated for rest days. There were some tough games along the way but they still came out on top.
Brooklyn Nets: C- (Last Week C-)

After starting the season hot, the Nets have now hit the wall. Their starting lineup was reshuffled but the losses still piled up. Cam Thomas has been demoted to the bench due to inconsistencies.
Charlotte Hornets: D- (Last Week D-)
Things are getting uglier by the day for the Hornets. It’s baffling to see that despite having a good collection of role players in the team, they still are losing at an alarming rate. LaMelo Ball is still out and this is becoming another wasted season for the franchise.
Chicago Bulls: B (Last Week B)
The Bulls finished 2023 on a strong note. Even without LaVine and Vucevic, they continue to find ways to win. Andre Drummond is on a tear lately when it comes to rebounding the ball.
Cleveland Cavaliers: B (Last Week B)
Despite missing nearly every starter against Dallas, the Cavs managed to come up with a win. They are trending in the right direction right now and if they’ll have everybody back healthy, they could be good.
Dallas Mavericks: B (Last Week B-)
Injuries have decimated this Mavs roster since the start of December. If they didn’t have Luka, this team would be just ugly to watch. It’s really a good thing that they have a top 5 player on their squad.
Denver Nuggets: A (Last Week A)
The Nuggets continued to soar in the West but they may have a hard time catching up with the Wolves and the Thunder. But knowing how they play, the standings are just a mere formality for the defending champions.
Detroit Pistons: D- (Last Week D-)
The Pistons finally won a game after nearly two months. They gave Boston a scare but finally broke through against the Raptors. Can they make it two in a row or create another infamous streak?
Golden State Warriors: C (Last Week B)
The Warriors did not sustain their fine play in week 9. This past week was brutal for the Dubs, who have now lost two in a row. It really feels like their window is closing fast. Maybe time for a rebuild?
Houston Rockets: C (Last Week B-)
The Rockets tend to go from hot to cold or vice versa. They are on a three-game skid now. By the looks of it, they are probably a fringe play-in team at best at the end of the season.
Indiana Pacers: B (Last Week C)
It seems like the Pacers have woken up from their slump. They now have won three games in a row after a lineup change. Haliburton should start in the East in the all-star game with the way he’s playing this year.
Los Angeles Clippers: A (Last Week A-)
The Clippers now sit at the 4th spot in the West. Who would have thought that they could quickly turn things around after an abysmal start this season? The only glaring problem with them is Kawhi’s injury problems.
Los Angeles Lakers: C (Last Week B-)
The Lakers just went 1-4 in week 10 of NBA basketball. They are now 3-8 after winning the In-Season Tournament. There are rumblings right now that they’ll do everything to improve the roster before the trade deadline.
Memphis Grizzlies: C- (Last Week C+)
After winning three straight with Morant back in the lineup, the Grizzlies are back in their old ways, now losing three in a row. It’s hard to admit but they may miss the playoffs this year if we are being honest with it.
Miami Heat: B+ (Last Week B+)
Miami’s roster is kind of depleted right now but they have continued their winning ways. They now sit at the 4th spot in the East standings despite missing the services of Jimmy Butler this past week.
Milwaukee Bucks: A+ (Last Week A+)
The Bucks are a scary team. Aside from the Giannis and Dame duo, ol’ reliable Khris Middleton is starting to find his groove after missing a ton of time due to injuries. They have a legitimate chance to pass the Celtics in the standings this season.
Minnesota Timberwolves: A+ (Last Week A+)
The Wolves may not form a long winning streak, but they know how to pile up the wins. As a result, they are still the top team in the West standings in week 10. Anthony Edwards is probably the best shooting guard in the league right now.
New Orleans Pelicans: B+ (Last Week B)
With a healthy lineup, the Pelicans are starting to impose their might against their opponents. The vibe inside their home stadium has been amazing and there’s a good chance that they’ll continue to build on their momentum.
New York Knicks: B- (Last Week B)
The Knicks went just 1-3 to end 2023. They just traded RJ Barrett and Emmanuel Quickley to the Raptors in exchange for OG Anunoby. 2024 will be a fresh start for the Knicks and they are hoping that the recent trade will do the trick.
Oklahoma City Thunder: A+ (Last Week A)
OKC has now won four games in a row. They sit at the second spot in the West with Denver a few games behind. This team is a contender and a huge problem for the entire league for years to come.
Orlando Magic: B (Last Week B-)
Orlando finally won a couple of games to end the year and they are now looking forward to 2024. Paolo Banchero is establishing himself as the bonafide star in this young team. They need to win some games to keep their status in the East.
Philadelphia 76ers: A (Last Week A+)
Joel Embiid sat out a few games this past week and as a result, the Sixers just went 2-2. But Philly fans aren’t really concerned about it as they also witnessed Tyrese Maxey drop some great numbers in week 10 of basketball.
Phoenix Suns: B (Last Week C)
After getting embarrassed by Luka Doncic on Christmas, the Suns now have won three straight games with Bradley Beal in the lineup. They are hoping to keep their fine play once 2024 comes in.
Portland Trail Blazers: D+ (Last Week D)
The Blazers surprisingly went 2-2 in week 10 despite missing the services of some key starters. They are competitive but they also tend to fade in crucial parts of the game. They should start to play their young guys and develop them rapidly as this is already considered a lost season.
Sacramento Kings: A- (Last Week A-)
The Kings are quietly climbing their way to the top of the West standings as of late. They may look for an additional boost in their lineup via trade within the next month or so. Sacramento wants to replicate the success they had last season.
San Antonio Spurs: D- (Last Week D-)
San Antonio is playing uninspired basketball right now. They don’t have a legitimate point guard in their lineup that could develop into a respectable player in the future. They may need to unload some wings in their roster and trade for a quality floor general.
Toronto Raptors: D (Last Week C-)
Toronto’s slide continues in week 10 of NBA basketball. As a result, they traded away OG Anunoby to the Knicks for RJ Barrett and Emmanuel Quickley. But rumor has it that they are far from done in retooling their roster. Pascal Siakam is a hot name on the trade rumors right now and he may be gone before the all-star break in February.
Utah Jazz: C+ (Last Week C)
After a lineup tweak, the Jazz are starting to win again. They are slowly climbing up in the Western Conference standings after their fine play as of late. Collin Sexton is making the most out of his time as a starter this past week.
Washington Wizards: D (Last Week D-)
The Wizards surprisingly won against the struggling Nets this past week. They were fairly competitive in their games in week 10 but with Jordan Poole’s inconsistency this season, wins continue to evade them at a consistent rate.
