The Warriors had recently ended a five-game skid with a win against the Utah Jazz but couldn’t maintain their momentum. The latest defeat dropped Golden State to a 13-9 record, placing them fifth in the Western Conference standings. Meanwhile, the Timberwolves improved to 12-10 with the win, climbing to ninth in the West.

Anthony Edwards led the way for Minnesota, delivering a stellar performance with a game-high 30 points. The young guard made 11 of his 18 shots, including four of 10 attempts from beyond the arc, and also added four rebounds and nine assists.

Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid were instrumental in anchoring Minnesota’s defense, which stifled the Warriors throughout the game. Gobert logged 35 minutes, contributing 17 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, while Naz Reid added 10 rebounds and four assists. Jaden Randle chipped in with 16 points and nine rebounds, while veteran guard Mike Conley added 13 points and four assists.
The Warriors struggled to find rhythm against Minnesota. Stephen Curry returned to the lineup after a one-game absence, scoring a team-high 23 points in 32 minutes.
Despite Curry’s efforts, Golden State lacked offensive cohesion, with Draymond Green being the only other notable contributor. Green, who got a technical foul in the game, tallied 10 points, nine rebounds, and six assists.
