Golden State Warriors vs. Brooklyn Nets: Preview
The Warriors have been brilliant this season, crushing it on both ends of the court. They’re putting up an impressive 117.6 points per game, which is the 4th highest in the league, while only giving up 108.8 points, ranking 5th in points allowed. They dominate the boards with 49.3 rebounds per game, the second-best in the NBA. Sure, they give up 46.8 rebounds, which isn’t ideal, but they more than makeup for it with their lethal three-point shooting—15.8 threes a game (4th in the league) and a solid 37.9% from deep, ranking 6th in accuracy.
The Nets, however, have a bit more work to do. They rank 20th in both points scored (110.8 per game) and points allowed (114.6). Their rebounding is also a big weakness, sitting dead last in the league with just 38.8 boards per game and 9th in rebounds allowed (42.6). On the bright side, they’re a solid shooting team from long range, hitting 15.3 threes per game (7th in the NBA) and shooting 37.6% from deep, ranking 8th in three-point percentage.

Golden State Warriors vs. Brooklyn Nets: Head To Head Stats
The Golden State Warriors and Brooklyn Nets have had quite a back-and-forth rivalry, with the Warriors managing to stay slightly ahead overall. In the 2023-24 season, the Warriors got the upper hand, taking both games — a solid 109-98 win on February 5 and a tighter 124-120 victory on December 16. But if we rewind to the 2022-23 season, it was all about the Nets. They edged out the Warriors 120-116 on January 22 and absolutely crushed them 143-113 on December 21.
Going back to 2021-22, the Warriors were back on top, winning both games, including a standout 117-99 performance on November 16. The 2020-21 season, though? That was all Nets. They cleaned up with two decisive wins, including a big 134-117 victory on February 13. The 2019-20 season followed suit for the Nets, with a commanding 129-88 blowout on February 5.
But if we look at 2018-19, the Warriors won both games (120-114 on October 28 and 116-100 on November 10) and stretched their win streak against the Nets to eight games. Over the last 11 matchups, it’s been neck-and-neck, with the Warriors winning six and the Nets taking five.
