On Thursday night, the Golden State Warriors cruised to a commanding 120-97 win against the Atlanta Hawks at Chase Center. Andrew Wiggins showcased an all-around performance, complemented by the Warriors’ solid defensive efforts, securing an easy victory for the team.
This win improved the Warriors’ record to 11-3, keeping them at the top of the Western Conference standings, ahead of the 12-4 Oklahoma City Thunder. Meanwhile, the Hawks dropped to 7-9, leaving them in seventh place in the Eastern Conference.
Andrew Wiggins Shines in Warriors’ Victory Over Hawks
Andrew Wiggins stood out for the Golden State Warriors in their 120-97 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday. Wiggins scored 27 points on an efficient 12-of-17 shooting, including 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. He grabbed seven rebounds and dished out four assists, making a major impact in 30 minutes of play.
Stephen Curry also had a strong showing, finishing with 23 points, four rebounds, and eight assists on 7-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-6 from three-point range. Jonathan Kuminga and Lindy Waters III provided valuable contributions off the bench, each adding 10 points.
Other notable performances came from Buddy Hield, who scored 11 points, and Trayce Jackson-Davis, who posted a double-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists. Draymond Green rounded out the balanced attack with nine points, seven rebounds, and nine assists. Unfortunately, Brandin Podziemski was forced to leave the game in the fourth quarter after taking a hit to the face, later being ruled out for the rest of the game.
Despite the Warriors’ strong play, the Hawks had several players who stepped up. Six Atlanta players scored at least 10 points, with Jalen Johnson leading the way with a double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds. Zaccharie Risacher and Trae Young each scored 12 points, while Dyson Daniels and Clint Capela added 11 points. De’Andre Hunter also contributed 10 points, six rebounds, and one assist.

The Warriors will look to continue their strong play when they face the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday. Meanwhile, the Hawks will aim to bounce back in their upcoming game against the Chicago Bulls on the same night.
