Every February, basketball fans are treated to an incredible showcase of talent featuring 24 of the league’s star players during the All-Star Game. Last season, the Eastern Conference triumphed over the Western Conference with a score of 211-186. However, this season promises to be different, as Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has consulted with the NBA to discuss changes to the All-Star Game format in San Francisco.
Last season, the All-Star Game returned to its traditional format, consisting of four 12-minute quarters, with the East facing off against the West. This season, there will be some slight changes. Recent reports from Joe Vardon of The Athletic indicate that Commissioner Adam Silver spoke with Curry about new ways to enhance competitiveness in this year’s All-Star Game.
“We’re looking at different formats for this year’s All-Star Game. We’ve had direct conversations with Steph Curry — it’s a home game for him… I know he’s very prideful and wants to make sure that the players put their best foot forward, so we’re looking at other formats.” Adam Silver said on Saturday.
Silver did not provide specific details about the changes he and Curry were considering implementing. However, he did suggest that they were aiming to make the game more exciting for both the fans and the players.
NBA Analyst Offers Update On Stephen Curry’s Recovery Status
Stephen Curry suffered a left ankle sprain during the Warriors’ 104-112 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. Since then, the team has been competing without their star player. Despite his absence, the Warriors have maintained their dominance, winning three straight games. While NBA fans have been eager for updates on Curry’s status, NBA analyst Anthony Slater from The Athletic recently provided information regarding his recovery.
“Steph Curry out on the court in Houston currently going through his normal pregame shooting routine. Another signal his return from an ankle sprain is very close.” Slater wrote in his latest post on X (formerly Twitter).
