The Philadelphia 76ers were truly shooting for the stars with this one.
The Golden State Warriors have rejected an offer from the Philadelphia 76ers of Ben Simmons for James Wiseman, Andrew Wiggins, Nos. 7 and 14 in the 2021 draft, along with two future first round picks.
It reportedly did not take long for them to turn it down. One league executive said the Sixers are making “totally outlandish offers.”
“The Sixers have been canvassing around the league, and they are asking for a massive return for Ben Simmons,” ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Wednesday. “One GM described it to me as Harden-esque, similar to what Houston wanted in the talks that led to them trading [James] Harden to Brooklyn.”
Daryl Morey is aiming preposterously high as nobody else in the league views Ben Simmons the way he clearly does.
