Gilbert Arenas is one of the more honest and entertaining figures in sports right now and it’s not even close. Just recently, the former Wizards star spoke out against Isaiah Thomas and the way he had to confront a Philadelphia 76ers fan for heckling him while he was at the free throw line.
Arenas called out Thomas and players like him for being hypocrites and talking crap to fans when they are winning a game, but get ultra sensitive when they are losing.
His original post was deleted, but there was a screenshot captured that showed Arenas speaking about a time where a Boston Celtics fan called him the n-word, but he heckled him back to the point that the fan bought his jersey and became his fan.
“In Boston…kid was calling me the N word…I said imma bust your teams ass and it will be ur fault,” Arenas explained via Complex. “Every time I scored I said it’s ur fault…every time I missed (u suck piece of shit) 4th were up 15 I get subbed out and looked at him and said (n***a lover, u have on a Paul Pierce jersey) he started laughing and said u got me on that one. Every game after that he had on a wizards 0 jersey. It’s part of the game…just gonna entertain and understand…most of the time they came to see u anyway.”
