After the Memphis Grizzlies’ victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday, Ja Morant expressed his frustration with the Lakers. Morant cited their playoff elimination of the Grizzlies in 2023 as the source of his hatred and made it clear that the Lakers’ actions still linger in his mind.
In response to Morant’s feelings, former NBA star Gilbert Arenas offered a surprising suggestion on the latest episode of the “Gil’s Arenas Show.” Arenas urged Morant to put aside his animosity towards the Lakers and instead join them.
“Ja, man, listen. You don’t need to hate us, like, you know what I mean? Y ‘all don’t want to see him. Join us. You know, that’s what I’m trying to say. LA will love you, man. Like, you know what I mean? Like, listen, listen. Whatever you need, we can provide for you,” Arenas said.
“If Shannon got to go, Shannon got to go. We can revoke his tickets. If you want to come, it’s all I’m saying. Whoever you don’t want in the crowd, we will do that for you. So don’t just hate the Lakers as hate,” he added.
