Giannis Antetokounmpo has got some puns. And it comes at best out of him during the post-game interviews. The Milwaukee Bucks star recently poked fun at his teammate Khris Middleton, and you can’t miss it.
After the Bucks’ 123-109 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, Giannis quipped that they often have to speed up their game to keep up with Middleton. The Greek Freak brought some humor to the postgame scene and roasted Middleton by comparing his on-court pace to that of a turtle.
“You have to, he’s like overcompensating because he moves like a turtle. We have to move faster for him, you know, defensively and offensively. So it’s just a habit that we form as a team. We know Khris is not going to move as fast. When he’s trying to move fast, he’s a little bit faster than a turtle. So we just have to do that extra work for him. Khris knows,” Giannis joked during the interaction.

Giannis on Khris is too funny. pic.twitter.com/ZH48JXOSIU
Giannis and Khris have built a strong friendship through their time at the camp, especially during the exciting championship run in 2021. Giannis often jokes, which can be funny, but it also shows that he knows Khris has had a tough time lately with injuries and changes in how he plays. Damian Lillard has stepped up in Middleton’s absence for the Bucks. Now that Khris is 33, he’s working hard to come back and is still helping the team from the bench.
