Victor Wembanyama’s France has reached the Men’s Basketball semifinals in the Paris Olympics 2024, where they will face the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup champions, Germany. Ahead of France’s semi-final clash on Thursday, Milwaukee Bucks and Greece star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo praised Wembanyama and claimed the 20-year-old has a “chance to be the best.”
Many expected a semi-final clash between NBA stars Victor Wembanyama and Giannis Antetokounmpo. However, Greece failed to beat the Germans in the quarter-final despite Giannis’ game-high 22 points. A combined effort from Germany led by Franz Wagner helped them clinch the victory against Greece.
Impressed with Wembanyama’s run at the Paris Olympics 2024, the 2-time NBA MVP made bold claims about the 7’4″ French center’s future. He told Boardroom, “He has the chance to be the best. Not at his age, not in Europe… but one of the best to ever play this game.”

Continuing his dominant performance in the Paris Olympics, Victor Wembanyama has averaged 14.5 points, 11 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.8 steals, and 1.8 blocks per game. His performance in his home country has impressed the ‘Greek Freak.’
