The Milwaukee Bucks have turned their season around in dramatic fashion. After a rough start that saw them stumble to a 4-9 record, the team now sits at 14-11, due to in large part to the chemistry between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.
The turnaround has silenced trade rumors surrounding Antetokounmpo, which began swirling after the team’s sixth straight loss. Now, everyone praise the star duo as the driving force behind the Bucks’ resurgence. In an interview with ESPN’s Mallika Andrews, Giannis opened up about his partnership with Lillard and how their connection has evolved.
“We’re able to sacrifice more. Last year, a lot of people put a lot of expectation on us to be Kobe [Bryant] & Shaq, Kareem [Abdul-Jabbar] & Magic [Johnson], and we were together in a room for maybe a week. That’s not possible,” Giannis said.
