It only took one year for Nick Young to be an NBA champion at the Golden State Warriors. But his discomfort with signing an autograph still haunts him to this day. The former shooting guard sat on the podcast with Gilbert Arenas and had it all coming from his fan experiences.
During the recent episode of Gil’s Arena, former Warriors star Gilbert Arenas took aim at Nick Young. He roasted the California-born basketball star for his apparent discomfort with signing autographs. It all started when Young himself initiated a curious enquiry and asked Gil when was the last time he signed the autograph. He suggested that he feels much more confident at clicking pictures with his admirers.
Although, Arenas was not the one to miss an open opportunity to roast his guest. He broke into hysterical laughter and asked his podcast co-host to announce how he introduced Nick at the beginning of the show. His co-host fell for the trap and calls Young an NBA champion.
“He won a championship and nobody know who the f**k he is to sign an autograph. It’s crazy,” Arenas quipped. Finding himself in an odd situation, Young tried to make a comeback and asked Arenas how many followers he’s got. Only to be trashed for one more time.
“Don’t do that. You got yours from your girlfriend. Iggy got you [followers]. You ain’t moved to one thousand since. He ain’t signed an autograph since Iggy dropped him,” Arenas blasted.

Arenas escalated the banter with a brutal comment about Young’s social media following. According to him, the majority of Young’s 3.3 million Instagram followers are a result of his association with pop icon Iggy Azalea.
