LeBron James and Stephen Curry are both nearing the end of their illustrious careers, but their journey from fierce rivals to close allies has captured the attention of NBA fans. Last year, they teamed up for the first time in the Olympics, helping Team USA secure their fifth consecutive gold medal. This success sparked speculation about what it might look like if they ever played together in the NBA.
However, their relationship wasn’t always as friendly as it is today. Former Golden State Warriors GM Bob Myers shared an interesting insight into their early interactions. Speaking on NBA Countdown before the Lakers win over the Warriors, Myers revealed that LeBron and Curry didn’t have much of a connection during their battles in the NBA Finals.
“LeBron and Steph, they didn’t have much of a relationship when they were going at it in the Finals. I think they’re friendly now. I think there’s a great respect,” Myers said.
"LeBron and Steph … I think there's a great respect. There may have been some dislike early." 😲
