Gilbert Arenas played 11 seasons in the NBA for four teams, including the Washington Wizards and the Memphis Grizzlies. Throughout his career, he averaged 20.7 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.9 rebounds throughout 552 regular-season games. However, he employed some different strategies when it came to successfully dating women.
In a recent episode of Gil’s Arena show, Arenas and the crew delved into the topic of men’s ability to attract women, often referred to as having a “game.” During this discussion, Josiah Johnson highlighted a point raised by women regarding the perception that rappers and athletes lack this “game.”
“I say whatever I think is gonna piss them off on a date. I get myself wiggle room. Broke men have game. All they got is game. They got to trick you out of possessions. If you meet me, I will be like ‘yeah, what’s happening? What we doing after this?’ I got 14 other ones that is ready to go, I don’t got time… Remember I have options, the guy who has game, don’t have no option, so he has to play his chess board right,” Arenas said.
Arenas explained that his strategy was to provoke his date, which allowed for more conversation and, ultimately, more time spent together. The former NBA player also mentioned that broken men often have a game while dating women.

On the other hand, Arenas, who is a proud father of five, is also making headlines. His 13-year-old daughter, Aloni Arenas, showcased impressive skills on the court. Arenas expressed his excitement and challenged Ball in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter). In the post, he shared a picture of Russell Westbrook eyeing Kevin Durant during the 2014 MVP awards. He captioned it, “How I’m looking at LaVar Ball’s MVP trophy.”
